About Lia McIntosh

Lia McIntosh is honored to serve corporate, community, and ministry leaders as an executive coach for more than fifteen years.  She is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Certified Coach, engaging speaker, writer, and community advocate.

Lia has coached hundreds of leaders to pivot toward their purposes.  She helps leaders make a bigger impact in the world and to be even more successful. Lia’s clients are superstars. They don't just talk about taking action. They take action. They get results. They move forward in their lives deliberately. They set boundaries. They discover more purpose, motivation, and success.

How does coaching make this happen? First, it increases awareness. We take time to look at your organization or life from the inside out. Second, it clarifies goals. Specific and measurable goals are imperative to make progress. Finally, coaching invites consistent action. Making commitments and following through leads to significant results.

Importantly, coaching is not therapy. We don't dwell on your past or analyze your childhood. We simply start where we are and move forward. It's a future-focused, goal achievement process.

Lia served as the Associate Director of Congregational Excellence for the United Methodist Missouri Annual Conference. In this role, Lia collaborated with and coached pastors and laity to launch new congregations and revitalize existing ones.  She specializes in urban ministry and leading congregations to deeply connect with their communities. Previously, Lia also served as a pastor of four multiracial United Methodist congregations including launching Renaissance UMC and serving as its founding pastor.

Prior to answering her call to a vocation of coaching and ministry Lia served communities across the midwest in health care marketing and specialized in leading, training, and coaching employees.  She has also served as a community organizer.

As a writer, she is the co-author of Blank Slate: Write Your Own Rules for a 22nd Century Church Movement (Abingdon Press, March 2019) and the author of She Who Rises: Unleashing The Warrior Chick Within (Purpose Publishing, March 2017).  Lia has also contributed to The Upper Room Devotional, The Abingdon Preaching Annual, and the Circuit Rider magazine.

She is a graduate of the University of Missouri and Saint Paul School of Theology with Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Business and a Masters of Divinity. Lia is a native of St. Louis, MO and lives with her husband and three children near Kansas City, MO.

Above all, Lia empowers leaders to set goals, move past fear, and start living an extraordinary life today!
